Both are made in Japan, cut 170 × 70 cm at about 180 g, and machine washable in a laundry net on a gentle cycle — air dry in the shade, no bleach or tumble dryer.
FROST
FROST is built around one sensation: the fabric is already cold when you put it on. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to carry water for — the cooling comes from the yarn itself, so it is there the instant the fabric meets your skin. Wet it and it turns colder still, so a splash of water at a fountain is never wasted. It does take on the weight of that water, though — so if your day is built around soaking and re-soaking, ECO-FRESH is the better tool for it.
The hand is soft and smooth with a silk-like drape, so it reads as a scarf you chose, not equipment you packed. Over the shoulders, looped at the neck, or clipped to the brim of a hat.
ECO-FRESH
Worn dry, ECO-FRESH is portable shade. Every colour is UPF50+ and blocks 98% of UV rays, so the sun stays off your skin on the water, on the trail, or in the middle of a crowd — and there is nothing to prepare. It works the moment it is over your shoulders, and being out of the direct sun is what helps you feel cooler.
Then there is the second mode, for the days the heat wins. Wet it, wring out the excess, and snap it a few times in the air — now it is a cooling wrap. Evaporative cooling takes over and keeps going as you move — re-wet it whenever the cool fades. This is the mode for a long day in strong sun — a beach, a resort, a theme park, hours watching sport — and for the moments when the heat turns punishing.
